The Baker Tilly Consulaudit S.p.A. career path involves
the following stages:
Assistant
The Assistant works under the direct supervision of
the Auditor or the Senior Auditor and provides them
with assistance in relation to all audit procedures
considered necessary as part of the engagement. In particular,
the Assistant examines documentation supporting business
events and checks that they have been accounted for
correctly in accordance with the applicable accounting
requirements.
Auditor
The Auditor is supervised by the field manager in charge
of the engagement or, for smaller engagements, reports
directly to the manager in charge. As well as providing
assistance with performance of the engagement, the Auditor
also supervises Assistants and provides them with on
the job training.
Senior Auditor
The Senior Auditor acts as Field Manager of the engagement
and reports directly to the Supervisor or Manager in
charge of the engagement. His/her responsibilities include
co-ordinating the work of more junior members of the
audit team and taking an active role in the identification
and solution of issues as they arise.
Supervisor
The Supervisor acts as the Field Manager on especially
important engagements in terms of size and problems.
He/she works closely with the Manager and Partner at
the planning stage and in relation to the organisation
of the engagement. On smaller engagements, the Supervisor
may perform a role similar to that of a Manager.
Manager
The Manager reports directly to the Partner in charge
of the engagement. He/she is responsible for planning
and supervising the engagement and ensuring that it
is performed in accordance with internal quality standards.
The Manager is responsible for providing on the job
training to members of the audit team and handles relations
with clients.
Partner
The Partner is ultimately responsible for audit engagements.
He/she reviews and supervises the work of the Manager,
assisting with engagement planning and dealing with
problems and issues as they arise.
